• Genetic analysis of the blood of a pregnant woman. This is a new expensive technique that is used only in some clinics. It is based on the detection of the Y chromosome in the mother's blood. There are attempts to calculate from the 6th week of pregnancy, but more reliable results should be expected only at the end of the first trimester.
