Russian Republic: list in alphabetical order

From 85 subjects formed a part of Russia. Republic constitute one-fourth of this amount. They occupy about thirty percent of the total territory of the country. It is home to a sixth of all residents of the state (excluding the Crimea). In more detail, let us examine the term "Republic". The Concept of the "Republic of Russia"

The Region and the province are considered to be administrative-territorial components of the country. Republic is usually called public entities. We can say that they represent a small national enterprises, existing on the territory of one state. All Russian Republic establish its own Constitution. In addition, these entities can legitimize the same for all the autonomy of the state language. During the existence of the Soviet Union used the concept of Autonomous socialist republics (abbreviated USSR), also known as Autonomous communities. They had the importance of national-state formations, while the regional centers and the region called the unit area.

Early education

The Republic of Russia began to form in the early twentieth century, barely ended the revolution. They were created, leaving the provincial territories and other units. However, further such education began to emerge from existing areas that have free standing. Usually they were regarded as separate territories, but sometimes remained part of territories and regional centers. When in 1936 the Constitution was adopted, the new Republic began to appear less often. A few of the earlier ones completely separated of Russia, remaining, however, within the Soviet Union.

Formation, included in other entities

There was not only the Republic of Russia. They were formed in part already separated entities, representing an Autonomous unit. For example, from the Soviet Republic of Georgia was allocated to independent entities - Ajaristan and Abkhazia. And in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Nakhchivan was formed. Within five years, part of the Uzbek SSR was part of the Autonomous formation of Tajikistan. Later, it finally gained full independence and became the Tajik SSR, also an Alliance with the once patron of the Republic. A few years after Uzbekistan got in their possession the Karakalpak ASSR. To the territory of Ukraine was linked on the Republic of Moldova, who left her after twenty six years of Union, leaving part of the territory. The last formed Republic became the Tuva. After its occurrence the number of entities has not changed for thirty years.

Further development

Since 1990, again began to form the Republic of Russia (the list is given below). But now education has occurred through the acquisition of former Autonomous entities and regions of absolute sovereignty. In the summer of 1990 independence has made each Republic, as well as many areas had not previously had autonomy. Happened conversion of the Adygeya, Khakassia, Mountain Altai and in addition to these, Karachay-Cherkess regions. Then divided Chechnya and Ingushetia, which once constituted the United Republic. During the process of acquiring the subjects of independence, they were awarded the title of sovereign. However, it is worth noting that no reference was made to the receiving republics of full autonomy and separation from the Russian territories. After obtaining independence the new objects developed in different ways. For example, barely-formed Republic of Adjara and Nakhichevan, which for many years carried the status of autonomy, United with other subjects. So, they became part of the Georgian and Azerbaijani entities. Abkhazia was a Soviet Republic, planned to remain part of the Union of sovereign States, while Georgia did not support this idea. A similar issue arose in Transnistria, previously considered part of the Moldovan autonomy and then decided to become an independent territory. A peaceful solution is not found, so began a series of hostilities. They didn't help Georgia and Moldova to regain control, only contributed to the acceleration of the formation of two new republics-Abkhazia and Transnistria.

Chuvash Republic

Entity is located in the valley of the Volga. Located on the right Bank of the Volga upland and the left – plain territory. In this part of the Volga river receives tributaries the Sura, the Tsivil and Anish. In the 2nd Millennium BC on the territory of the current Republic was occupied by members of Balanovsky and log peoples. After a few centuries they were replaced by the tribes of Gorodets. Active colonization began in the 7th–9th centuries BC. From the Lower Volga region at that time moved the tribes Suvar and Bolgar. Subsequently, these peoples formed the Chuvash. To 10-13 centuries was formed Volga Bulgaria. But by the 14th century, the state declined. This was due to the raids of the Mongols. So, within a few centuries the land passed to the Bulgarians, the Tatars, belonged to the Kazan khanate (in 1546 territory of the future Republic was under the yoke). As a result, the people asked for help from then reign of Ivan the terrible. In the sixteenth century they annexed to Russia itself. Chuvash Republic has on its territory several of the fortresses. Among them are, for example, Yadrin, Tsivilsk.
