Making a medal out of dough: recipe

Mix half a cup of flour with half a cup of salt. Add a spoonful of starch to give the dough whiteness and elasticity. Dilute the resulting mass with water, gradually pouring it in with a spoon and stirring. 
Roll out the dough on the table, form circles from the dough with a glass or lid from the container, leaving a small strip on top. In the strip with a knife we make a hole for the tape.

A beautiful pattern on the details can be made using a felt-tip pen cap, curly pasta, a thin knife or toothpicks. With the cap, we apply a pattern containing Olympic symbols. The prepared medals should be dried in the oven on the lowest heat for 3 hours.

Dried medals for children can be painted with acrylic paints or gouache without adding water. It is even easier to spray a gold-tinged paint from a spray can, then cover with transparent acrylic to give durability.
