How to choose a cotton mattress?

When choosing these products, do not focus only on the price. After all, the so-called regenerated fibers are used in the production of the cheapest options. These include various remnants from sewing production (threads, fabrics, yarn), which are divided into separate threads. With the help of special processing methods, they turn into a homogeneous soft mass, which is used as a filler. Please note that the price of a regular cotton mattress is about 2 times higher than for a product made of regenerated fibers. This is due to the different cost of the filler used. It is also necessary to take into account that cheaper options will fall into disrepair faster, their service life is limited.
If you still want a cheap cotton mattress made from sewing waste, then note that it can be cotton, wool blend, mixed and synthetic, depending on what materials it is made of. If the first 2 options can be used in institutions where mattresses are processed in an autoclave, then the latter are suitable only for home use. As a rule, they are purchased for temporary workers and thrown out after their departure. By the way, do not be surprised if you see a colored filler through the skin, in products made of regenerated fiber it can be any color.

The thickness of these products for adults is usually 7 cm, for children it ranges from 5 to 6 cm.
