History

The Folk group «whip» Established in February 2008 in the capital of Udmurtia-Izhevsk. Two best friends, Alexander Stryzhak (Misanthrope) and Dimitri Korolkov (Konung) joined in the creative Union.

Originally created them the material was a combination of music, black metal and pagan texts. In the short term was recorded first demo album called ‘In the dark middle of nowhere”.

Composition

“to whip” for a long time did not receive development. For the better, everything changed in the summer of 2009, when A. Strizhak met with Nikolai Melnikov (Bass-Viking). The boys are assigned duties and started to work. Alexander was the guitarist, and Nicholas has combined singing and playing the flute. A little later they were joined by bass guitarist Dima Korol'kov. Originally planned to create a trio. But at some point the band realized that the main thing – the number of participants, and their quality.

In may 2010, the group came to another guitar player – Ilia Glazman (Terrible). It would seem that now the guys can write down steep tracks. But the team began a quarrel over musical preferences. Nikolay Melnikov left the band. And the place extreme-vocalist Alexander Strizhak.

On 26 November 2010 in Izhevsk rock bar "Basement" of the folk ensemble “to whip” gave a concert. The team presented cover songs of “KRODA”, “Mind”, “TEMNOZOR ' " and Eluvetie. The local audience took their excellent performance.

Further career development

In 2011, the band “to whip” has pleased fans by releasing two albums – “Wind” and “Wheat”. All copies of records were sold out in a couple of weeks.
