Kharkiv state circus: description, program and reviews

The Kharkiv circus – one of the oldest in Ukraine, has a rich past and glorious traditions. The history of the modern circus Kharkov began in the people – squares, folk festivals, where the performances were extremely popular.

First booths

The Circus fraternity originated in wooden buildings from the second half of the nineteenth century. Heated first circus appeared in Kharkov through the efforts of William sur. Now this building is popularly called the Old Circus. The circus Grecce was equipped with the most modern at that time equipment. On the stage were made by famous artists and theatre troupes from around the world. With the establishment of Soviet power, the circus was nationalized and became known as the "Kharkiv State circus."

Circus Stars

It was born of eminent artists: the brothers Durovy – master of taming and clowns, the world famous clown-clowns Berman, tamers predators Buslaev and A. I.
