Jack Kirby – a popular American writer, artist. However to the masses he is better known as a comics editor. He created characters are popular with today's youth, many of them were filmed in the form of cartoons and movies.

Youth

Jack Kirby was born in 1917 in new York. He came from a family of Austrian immigrants. He lived in difficult conditions in a very troubled city. The boy soon discovered his gift for drawing and after a while began to try himself as an Illustrator in one of the teen Newspapers. By his own admission, his style and the style of writing was influenced by cartoonists and well-known authors of comics of the 1940s years. He enrolled in one of the most prestigious art schools – the Pratt Institute, but very soon left because disagreed with the teachers. In 1936, Jack Kirby began to work on newspaper comics, and three years later moved into the entertainment company, which largely determined the future direction of his work.

Early successes

At the turn of the 1930–1940-ies in the United States began a boom in the comics, and this wave he made his career. The artist invented a series of illustrated stories, a variety of genres and themes: westerns, fantastic, humorous. In 1941, he, along with co-created one of the most popular superheroes-captain America, which still enjoys great popularity among fans.
