The Rybinsk plant instrumentation: history, description, products

Open joint stock company “the Rybinsk plant instrumentation” refers to the strategic enterprises of the defense sector of the country. Within its walls develop and produce electronic equipment for the aerospace industry. The main products are measuring speed, distance traveled and angles of the demolition of the aircraft. The Beginning

The Decision on the construction of the Rybinsk factory of instrument making was made by the Minister of aviation industry 14.06.1951 G. At that time, the Rybinsk was a major center of radio engineering. Although formally he was not considered a closed city, but foreigners here are not allowed. So, in secrecy here was created a new company, which was destined to become the leading manufacturer of aviation security systems and radar devices.

However, in the first years after the start of work at the Rybinsk plant instrumentation have produced different families of testers required for inspection of electrical networks and electronic circuits. The mass was measuring combined instrument model TT-1, which was produced up to 8,000 units monthly. By the mid 50-ies of the plant significantly expanded the range from oscilloscopes to budget gramophones “Volga”.

In 1958, at the Rybinsk plant instrumentation has mastered production of complex electro-technical devices intended for the safety of air transport, control systems and telemetry.
