Suzuki SX4 - a sporty Japanese SUV on European roads

Suzuki SX4 appeared on the Japanese market in July 2006. For buyers in Japan, it was a new model. Prior to that, it is already sold in Europe. Such a sequence indicates that this vehicle was designed for buyers from Europe. This is a fact nobody denies, T., K. Suzuki SX4 sedan – this is the third model, which is of strategic importance for the manufacturer.

What features distinguish this vehicle, which is otherwise called as a sports hatchback terrain of the new generation? Width and length model is 4170 mm and 1725 mm, respectively. By the way, it was initially planned that the length of the car shall not exceed 4 meters, width – 1.7 meters. But the new design and fitting under the European standards has made some changes in these plans.

The Interior was developed in cooperation with Italian design Studio, headed by don Giugiaro. Company Suzuki it made a lot of comments and amendments, sometimes reached significant differences. Despite this, the authors of the project do not regret that the design of the car was developed by joint efforts.

Visually, the Suzuki SX4 is perceived as a compact car. Front doors equipped with a triangular window, the lower edge of which terminates the line of the body, then it abruptly rises. This technique – good design godsend, because it gives the external look of the car the uniqueness and distinctive flavor. The second highlight is considered the color scheme of the main and additional racks. So, an additional strut was darkened, and the painted in body color.

Due to the fact that the body structure suggests the presence of additional a-pillar, the doorway has a rather unusual configuration. The distance between the road surface and the upper edge of the driver's seat is about 600 mm. Line of the hood and the lower edge of the side Windows are quite low, and therefore the side and front visibility from the driver's beautiful.

Now a few words about the interior design of the Suzuki SX4 (clearance of this car is quite suitable for our roads). Due to the fact that the producers determined the class of car as cars of the raised passableness, it goes without saying that the interior will be equipped modestly. So, do some time does not leave a feeling of deprivation, decorative attributes, so it's simple. The front panel seems too awkward. But its quality is not of particular observations (for the 1.5-litre class). However, to 2-litre class panel absolutely does not hold. The color scheme inside the cabin and with only one option – grey.

As for the driving part of this car, it is possible to note the following:

- the engine is equipped with an automatic fuel management system, which provides a fairly strong start and a smooth follow-up movement;

- the steering gear is equipped with electric booster, facilitate management;

- suspension ensures a permanent contact of the wheels with the road;

the car moves smoothly;

- automatic 4-speed transmission;

- 17-inch wheels combined with the low-set suspension, gives the car a sporty character.

Thus, the Suzuki SX4 is ideal for different drivers with different needs and lifestyles.
