Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis refers to inflammatory diseases. This disease is characterized by chronic and affects the joints. Usually diagnosed juvenile rheumatoid arthritis in children under the age of sixteen years.

The cause of the disease is not known and the course of illness-is very difficult. Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis-the disease is progressive, involving in the process the internal organs.

The Disease is accompanied by asymmetric lesions of the large joints, the severity of which is not associated with systemic manifestations of the disease.

Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis leads to severe consequences. As the practice of medicine, the percentage of disabled persons with such a diagnosis is very high, at about 70%. In this regard, juvenile arthritis among the diseases of rheumatic character is in the first place.

The causes contributing to the development of the disease include the accumulation of various external factors, including trauma, hypothermia, infections (viral or bacterial), insolation, the introduction of protein drugs, etc. Inadequate response of the child's body is based on the increased sensitivity to them. The result is a rather complex immune response which leads to progression of the disease. In addition, there is also a genetic predisposition of the child to diseases of rheumatic character.

The Pathological process originates in the synovial membrane. Next is the defeat and disturbance in the microcirculation of the cells lining membrane.

During the inflammatory process forms a pannus. It is formed from large number of cells in joint tissues. The pannus covers the cartilage and prevents the normal exchange process, reinforcing, thereby, the destruction of bone and cartilage formations.

Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis affects the peripheral joints. In some cases, the disease occurs as a complication of sore throat or flu. The disease can be preceded by and exacerbation of chronic infection.

The Disease has acute and subacute character.

In the first case, as a rule, there is fever, soreness. In the development process, there is swelling of one or several joints, usually symmetrical. Acute flow characteristic of a severe form of the disease. As a rule, it occurs in preschoolers, children of primary school age. However, in some cases development of disease was observed in adolescents.

Despite the fact that the typical disease is the defeat of the (ankle, knee, wrist) joints, is not excluded, and the destruction of the small joints from the very beginning of pathology.

Often, violations occur in the cervical spine. On the skin occurs a polymorphic rash, having an allergic origin. In addition, there is enlargement of the liver, lymph nodes and spleen. When performing an overall analysis of the blood revealed anemia.

Subacute nature of the disease is less severity of symptoms. Thus affected, as a rule, first, one joint-a knee or ankle. The swelling causes a disruption of the functions, in some cases, not accompanied by pain. Gait of the child may change, and children up to two years to completely stop going.

The Beginning of the subacute course of the disease causes damage to the first one, then several (up to four) joints. This disease is transferred in the form oligoarticular arthritis.

The Pain of affected joints and exudative changes are manifested in a moderate degree, the body temperature rises. The subacute form is easier, less marked deterioration.
