Phenomena of nature: physics and chemistry of the surrounding world

Around us, so much unknown! Every day, scientists and ordinary people deeper and learn about the world. A natural phenomenon we encounter daily and which are so used are sometimes very complex physics.

The Concept of “nature”

In elementary school we are taught a subject called environmental studies. In order kids are not lost and understand the teaching, the information is available, and brief portions. In winter the process is reversed: the water freezes and changes its state from liquid to solid. Life in the pond also slows down. However, the very basic substance – water – remains unchanged.

The Phenomena of animate and inanimate nature, which have a chemical origin, not only change of any substance participating in the process, but create a new one. This can present different symptoms. Gas evolution, color change, precipitation, light emission, odor or taste – this is the details which reactions chemical effects differ from physical processes.

The Phenomena of nature are also divided into climatic, geological-geomorphological, biological, biogeochemical, and others. The most common are the changes of the first and second types. Rains, blizzards, drought, global warming, typhoons – climatic events. Earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, soil erosion and other – geological-geomorphological changes.

2. Short – short-lived nature of the event (from several hours to several days): the full moon, rain, heat, flood and others.
3. Long term – phenomena of nature, the duration of which can be measured in months or even years: climate change (global warming), the drying up of ponds, etc.

In addition, all the events that happen in the world around us can be divided into seasonal and daily. For example: swelling buds, the snow, the flight of birds on wintering and other – examples of the first category of phenomena. The second will carry the sunrise and sunset.
