Appearance

To Build a chocolate house in 1899–1901 by the architect Vladimir Nikolayev, the founder of the National Philharmonic and the refectory of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. In addition to designing buildings, Nikolaev also worked on its interior.

Earlier the house was a small manor house with a splendid garden. In the 30-ies of the last century it's been owned by a career military man Pavel Konstantinovich. The Son of the Baroness in 1988 he sold the corner part of the estate of the member Bank branches, and the rest of the inheritance is altered in an apartment house. The new owner of the S. S. Mogilevtsev decided to demolish the corner of the house, and the place to build the mansion.

Until 1934, the house was residential. It was partially reconstructed, and later handed over to the NKVD.
