"Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone": the actors, roles, and interesting facts

The First book of the young wizard orphan unexpectedly became in literature the whole world event. And its screen adaptation was only a matter of time. The premiere took place in 2001, collecting at screens record number of viewers, and since then, every subsequent adaptation has caused more and more interest. What about the first film of the Saga – “Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone" of the actors, which instantly got the crowd of fans around the world – will continue the story.

Just Harry

Harry Potter was a normal ten-year-old boy-an orphan living in the home of his aunt, whose family consisted of her husband and son. His parents, according to her aunt, long since died in a car accident. Friends of the young Harry was not, and the only relatives of his "abnormalities" treated him like a servant. And put him in the cupboard under the stairs.

But all their “normal life” collapsed overnight when Harry all of a sudden and himself received the letter. And though it was immediately taken away and letters started coming every day, while the Dursleys decided to run away, taking Harry with him. And in a house where seemingly no one will find, in the night when Harry turned eleven years old, a man named Hagrid.

That's when the movie “Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone" (the actors were selected under strict control by JK Rowling, but more on that later) and the plot gains its momentum. We are waiting for a fascinating journey into a fairy tale where there are centaurs, trolls and even a huge three-headed dog named Fluffy. This is a story about kindness, friendship, mutual assistance and fidelity…

“Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone": actors, roles, and interesting facts

The Role of Harry Potter (in Russian dubbing - Alexey Elistratov), the character for the sake of which, actually, all and was started, went to the British novice (at the time) actor – Daniel Radcliffe. Before his stellar role Daniel played in the movie based on the novel by Charles Dickens "David Copperfield". The Film (the actors, as already could be seen, quite diverse) would not have been possible without the production group. From the very beginning the Director's chair was intended for Steven Spielberg. But in the course of negotiations the parties do not agree on the vision of the characters. After careful selection of its place was taken by Chris Columbus, known for the films “home Alone" (1990) and ‘Mrs. Doubtfire" (1993). The music for the film was written by the talented composer John Williams. No less important role played and the vast scenery of incredible beauty and realism. The same applies to the selection of costumes. But, unfortunately, it's impossible to list.

Summing up

And, summing up the situation, not to mention one detail which concerns events called “Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone" - the film (actors, that is, were laid in full) was really childish and magical. Moreover, it is interesting not only younger generation but also for adults.
