The teamwork of the internal combustion engine is possible only when the health of all its constituent parts and mechanisms. This vehicle is equipped with various sensors and subsystems, among which special attention deserves the idle sensor. What is this part and how important it is for domestic models VAZ? The answers to these questions will learn in our today's article.
The idle Sensor (VAZ "injector" 1.6) – is a device that controls engine idle speed. With his help, DVS can support optimal modes during operation, thereby prolonging the service life of all its components.

The idle sensor is in the opening and closing of the canal which runs to the bypass valve. So, before you change the idle sensor 2110 should be inspected for proper function of a number of other important details. Just making sure that faulty DHH, you can begin to change. Otherwise all the work will not bring the desired result.
How to check the idle sensor 2110 for serviceability? First, you must find the mechanism and remove the block of wires. If your car is a 1.6-liter engine VAZ, pre-Unscrew the 2 fastening element throttle knot and slide it from the end of the receiver 10 millimetres.
Next hold the sensor circuit and see if voltage to it. To do this, use a regular voltmeter. To determine the voltage pre-connect the negative terminal to ground and connect the last wire to the output “And” and “D” (they are often marked on the Shoe). Now turn on the ignition and look at the voltmeter: if voltage on a scale smaller than 12 volts, you probably have a discharged battery. If signs of power do not exist at all, is the whole faulty circuit or electronic control unit.
If the voltmeter showed a voltage of 12 volts and more, we continue the experiment. Turn off the ignition and start to check the idle sensor 2110. The terminals of the tester connected to output A, b, C and D. the total resistance should fluctuate around 50-55 Ohms. After thatyou need to measure the resistance of pairs of – its value should be infinitely large. If the idle sensor (VAZ 21214, for example) produces additional evidence, then it is faulty and must be replaced. If the values are OK, most likely, the problem lies in candles or other elements of the car. In this case you need to go to the service station for diagnostics.
You Can use an alternative method. To do this, remove the idle sensor and connect it to the Shoe. Next, lightly tapping a finger on the tip of the needle DHH, check how it moved. Ideally, a working sensor at the moment of switching off the ignition completely puts this item. Thus, your finger should feel a small jolt. If not, then the device is in a failed state and must be replaced. But DHH possible to recover, but at a later date.
Before you start work, you first need to disconnect the on-Board system of the vehicle. To do this, remove the negative terminal from the battery. Next, disconnect pad with wires going to the sensor with the throttle. You need to press a finger on the plastic latch-the latch.
After you Unscrew two screws and remove the sensor from the pipe. Sometimes there can be problems – a screw that is near the receiver, you can fall in when turning. To avoid this, it is recommended first remove the left fastening mechanism, and then Unscrew the right. In the next stage a bit, pull the sensor itself and remove the right screw. By this progression, you will not lose fasteners and will significantly accelerate the process of dismantling.
So, the old sensor was successfully removed from the car. Now you need in its place install a new. Overall, the installation DHH is similar to removal, only in reverse order. However, before the work of the specialists recommend to apply a few drops of engine oil on the o-ring. This is not required, but by doing so, you greatly simplify installation of sensor on your car.
You can Now proceed to the final stage – calibration DHH. On all cars of a domestic production, this procedure is fully automated, so all you have to do is to put the negative terminal, turn the ignition on for 5-10 seconds and then turn it off. The sensor calibration was successfully completed. The car is fully ready for operation.
In some cases, in order to restore this detail, just enough to clean it thoroughly. The Shoe sensor – the process is very easy, and to repair it is enough to have only one tool WD-40.
So, how to restore the idle sensor VAZ 2112? In the first stage, unscrewed the two nuts of fastening of throttle knot. The latter, as in the case of replacement, is given to 10 millimeters to the side. Then disconnected from the sensor pad wires. On a q-tip to apply WD-40, and using it carefully cleaned all of the channels. Next, through a Philips screwdriver, Unscrew the two screws that secure the idle sensor 2110. If there are no mounts, you will have to remove the whole throttle unit. Then pulled out the mechanism. If it is covered with oil and black mud, in addition to cleaning DHH, you will need to clean the whole throttle.
Next, the tool WD-40 is applied to the tapered needle with a spring. Thus, after a few minutes the arrangements of the sensor free of dirt. The device is then dried, and it can be set in place. Before mounting check the distance from the needle to the body of the instrument (one should be 23 mm). At this stage, idle sensor 2115 can be considered successfully repaired. The machine can once again operate in a normal manner.
