History Of Georgia

The First mention of the formation of the state of Georgia history are referred to the tenth century. At that time, there was an Association of several principalities. This state lasted for about three centuries. After several centuries, in the eighteenth century, again, the Georgian principalities were United. A little later some of them joined the Russian Empire.

In the eighth century BC on the Western territory of modern Georgia was inhabited by Greeks. After a few centuries on the East the territory of the state entered the Anatolian tribes. They assimilated (merged) with the locals. So  was formed by the Iberian state, which existed not too long.
