As said the heroine of the film: "fried potatoes, boiled, stewed, French fries and so on to infinity". This unique root is good in any form, and dishes from it simply not considered. The meatballs potato , this is another unique dish from the category "always at hand".

It's Hard to imagine now your diet without this essential vegetable. The potato in its composition contains a large amount of carbohydrates, due to which it is quite nutritious, but even more useful it potassium. Previously it was so strange dish that was served only to the guests of honor, often as a treat, and not with salt and with sugar. Now it is served in such a way that at once not to guess what lies behind this bizarre form of: flakes, rings, rosettes and potato rissoles.

But initially it was repulsed patties of meat, with time they evolved from meat to vegetables, and the dish was only the form but not the content. The meatballs resemble a tightly spun round patties of any size. This is a simple dish to prepare, safe to say that all products are always available, but to diversify the table unusual design is always nice.

Have the opportunity to save yesterday's mashed potatoes, but there is a reason to cook the meatballs and fresh potato. For this purpose the best fit roots with good gluten content that will give them a more stable form. Wash potatoes, peel and wash, cut in half. Put on fire a pot of water and let it boil. Remember that all vegetables, without exception, it is better to add boiling water to the maximum to retain their vitamin value. Salt based ½ teaspoon of salt to 3 liters of water. Cook the potatoes for 30-35 minutes, depending on variety.

Potato dumplings, recipe, which we took as a basis, suggest the presence of following ingredients: potatoes-1-1,2 kg, 4 eggs, breadcrumbs or semolina-200 grams, 150 grams of cottage cheese or low-fat cheese, pepper, garlic. Drain water from potatoes and mash them with kartoffelsalat until smooth, allow to cool, so that when mixing the components to boil eggs. Beat the 2 eggs to a froth with a mixer, add the cheese, pepper and crushed garlic (one head), to pour weight in mashed potatoes and knead with a mixer with a special nozzle. To give time for the mass to thicken (5-7 minutes).

Next, whisk the remaining 2 eggs to a froth. Spoon the molding rolls of potatoes of any size, giving them a slightly flattened shape for better contact with the cooking surface. Dip them in beaten eggs and coat in breadcrumbs (you can mix them with an equal amount of semolina). In the fire heat the pan with thick walls, pour vegetable oil and on high heat fry the potato patties until crispy Golden brown for 2 minutes on each side. Put our dish in matter as what we serve it. If this is the main dish, then lay on a flat tray, pour the sauce or sour cream and decorate with chopped greens of dill and parsley. If the potato patties are used as a garnish, you can serve them immediately on a portion plate in combination with the main dish, but the herbs don't hurt, either.
