I'm Sure many have heard of this disease, like vasculitis. What it is, they do not know everything, therefore we offer brief information about one common type of-hemorrhagic.
Vasculitis — the common name of the inflammatory processes in blood vessels of different calibers. By origin they may be primary, i.e. self-forms, but more often are secondary or symptomatic, that is, syndromes of other diseases, as a rule, systemic lesions of the connective tissue.
The Cause of vasculitis is not fully understood, but their development is associated with abnormal response of the immune system, migrated or present infections, certain medications. A clear classification does not exist in connection with the difficulties of differentiation of vasculitis. All forms of the disease occur with the skin lesions, 80% are characterized by articular syndrome. The process may develop in large and small blood vessels of all organs.
One of the most frequent species is a typical representative of systemic autoimmune vasculitis — hemorrhagic, which is also called the disease Shenleyn-Schonlein purpura, anaphylactoid purpura with or kapilliarotoxicos.
Hemorrhagic vasculitis — what is it?
The Disease is more common in children, mainly boys. In hemorrhagic vasculitis is observed lesions of the skin, joints, kidneys, digestive organs, and rarely the lungs. Involved in the process only small vessels: capillaries and arterioles.
The Disease usually has an acute onset. This usually occurs 2-3 weeks after acute respiratory infection. The first signs are skin rashes — purpura. Then there are joint pains and abdominal (pertaining to abdomen) syndrome, and later joined the renal. In most cases there is fever, weakness, poor appetite, weight loss. The disease can occur in the chronic form with periodic relapses.

Eruptions have the form of sharply defined papules of 1 to 5 mm, which subsequently merge. Elements typically protrude above the skin surface and do not disappear when pressed. The rash is symmetrical and is localized typically on the extensor extremities around large joints, on the buttocks and legs. Rarely it can be found on the face, back, belly and chest. After a few days the rash fade and become brown, forming a pigmentation. While near the old spots appear fresh, that's why the skin looks mottled. Rash is abundant or scarce, can last for years.
Articular manifestations
The Second most common is the joint syndrome, which accompanies hemorrhagic vasculitis. What is it? Pain in large joints: knee and ankle. Despite the pain, arthritis of vasculitis are reversible, deformations in the joints are practically not observed.
Abdominal syndrome
50% of patients, mostly in children, develops abdominal syndrome, which is expressed in attacks of sudden abdominal pain, often in the navel. In addition, observed bloating, vomiting, and diarrhea mixed with blood. Possible cases of surgical complications: intestinal obstruction, intestinal perforation, peritonitis.
Nephrotic syndrome
Renal signs accompanying vasculitis, — what is it? Nephrotic syndrome manifested in the form of glomerulonephritis and occurs in 30-60% of patients. It often occurs in the first year of the disease, sometimes after the disappearance of extrarenal manifestations or when the next relapse. The main symptom of glomerulonephritis-the presence of blood in the urine.
Hemorrhagic vasculitis in children can occur in severe form in the form fulminant purpura, in which the hours appear multiple hemorrhages under the skin, accompanied by fever and hypotension.
