Guaifenesin increases bronchial secretion and makes the mucus less viscous. Side effects. Usually the drug is well tolerated. Occasionally there is diarrhea, nausea, stomach pain, loss of appetite, headache, skin rash.

Overdose. Overdose symptoms of toxic action guaifenesin on the body, such as drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, muscle weakness, urolithiasis. Interaction with drugs. Guaifenesin increases the effects of alcohol, acetylsalicylic acid, acetaminophen, sedatives, hypnotics and muscle relaxants.

“the Taste of the syrup” contains liquid extracts of plantain, thyme and thyme and it's named "Stoptussin Fito».
