Long-term coastal strengthening, bearing such terrible name, is located on mount Asketi, in the suburbs of Balaklava. An unusual element of this building is the observation point, made of sheet thick armor in the form of barrels.
The First fortifications at these places were erected by the allies in the Crimean war and was somewhat rebuilt during the First world war. As such, the Fort Balaclava, which can be seen at the present time, appeared in 1920-ies, at the same time include built two observation points.

In one of the galleries today operates a large-scale exhibition of artifacts relating to the period of the Crimean war. It includes: military equipment, awards, uniforms, samples of firearms and bladed weapons, personal belongings and letters of officers and soldiers of the opposing sides, dishes and household items.
Its construction lasted three years (1912-1915). It is located at an altitude of 212 metres, mount kefalo Vrisi. The Fort consists of a system and partly concreted ditches excavated in the rock. Their depth of three meters and a length of two kilometers.
Western and Eastern moats are connected to concrete-encased tunnel. Its length is 124 meters, width slightly more than 2.5 m, height - 3.5 meters. The First temple in the city built by the Genoese in 1375 at the same place where today is the Church of the Twelve apostles. It was built in the XVIII century on the foundations of the previous temple. During the Crimean war it was damaged and re-consecrated in 1875 it was carefully stored the priceless relics of the Greek battalion of Balaklava. This building, known as battery captain, Drapushko, was built twelve years (1912-1924.). It is located on the top of the mountain, on the Cape Couronne. After the construction was armed with four guns of 152 mm caliber that could hit the battleships and cruisers at a distance of 20 km from each instrument was assigned to the calculation, consisting of 12 people. Shells weighing 52 kg was submitted manually.
In November 1941 the battery under the command of captain M. Drapushko took the fight to Nazi parts. During the assault of Sevastopol in the 19th the battery was badly damaged. Immediately after the war it was rebuilt and continued to serve. In 2002 was written off and liquidated.

This amazing cave monastery stretches along the ledge of the mountain Chelter-Kaya over Ternovka. It consists of more than 50 caves, which are located in five tiers: cells, refectory and gallery with five columns, utility rooms, and a Christian Church. The complex is surrounded on all sides by impregnable cliffs and rocks. This monastery was operational from the XIII until the end of the XV century, although some researchers attribute its creation to the VI-IX centuries. The epithet of "Marmara" (meaning Marble) were from the same medieval village. Its ruins can be seen today on the slopes of mountains.
