The Struggle for the throne

In December 1718, Ulrika Eleonora had learned of the death of his brother. She took the news calmly and made everyone call themselves Queen. The Council did not oppose it. Soon she gave the order for the arrest of supporters of George Hertz and cancelled all resolutions that came from his pen. At the end of 1718 on the convening of the Riksdag Ulrika wished to abolish the monarchy and return the country to the old way of the Board.
