Hornbeam Tree has a longitudinally ribbed barrel. Bark multidentata, often completely smooth, has a distinct grey shade. The crown is not breadth, but always quite thick, it consists mainly of long thin branches. Often having the form of shrubs, hornbeam, whose leaves grow in two rows, is perfect for creating garden shapes. The buds of the tree are sharp, have a seated position and covered with scales. The leaves are unusual for the family of Birch, have a length of 10 cm They are oval or elliptical in shape, fall down, have serrated edges and parallel pinnate veins.
Hornbeam Tree has unisexual flowers, monoecious and are pollinated by the wind. Pollination takes place by means of earrings that blossom with the leaves.
