Boris Bogatkov – Soviet poet known for his front-line verses. Earned the title of hero of great Patriotic war posthumously – died in the war. The poet was Born 3 Oct 1922 in a small village Balakhta, which is near Achinsk (Krasnoyarsk Krai). His mother, Mary E., worked in a school as a mathematics teacher, and her father, Andrei Mikhailovich was service on a party and was often away on business trips.
The family Bogatkevich Boris was an only child, and his parents gave him all my free time. Not surprisingly, the boy soon learned to read, and from childhood was fascinated by the literature. However, such an idyllic atmosphere in the family did not last long.

Boris Bogatkov had very tender feelings for Tatiana Evgenievna because she took him in and raised as his own son. However, he missed his dead mother.

In 1938 the poet had written the first major creation – «Duma on the red flag”.
In 1940, the newspaper «Komsomolskaya Pravda» has been organized by the Council of poetry, which was led by Antokolsky, it was adopted and Bogatkov. By this time the writer became actively printed in the ‘Siberian lights” and “the Achinsk newspaper».

The Great Patriotic war. Coming to the military Commissariat, Boris A. Bogatikov asked to send him to flight school. The young man dreamed about the air battles with the Nazis, however, he identified the ranks of aviation technicians. This was a serious blow and is reflected in the work. So he wrote afterwards in one of his poems: “So, I'll be at the airport,/ won't be at the front and in the rear?”
But Boris did not accepted his fate and volunteered for the front in the infantry. However, already in the poet received a severe concussion and was demobilized in Novosibirsk.
Here he settled at his foster mother in a small log cabin. During the recovery period after the injury was writing. In his writings sounded a military theme, he urged the people to work and fight the invaders.
Bogatkov begins to cooperate with “Windows TASS», newspaper «Krasnoyarsk star" songs and poems of Boris appear in editions of a satirical show “enemy”.
Poems of Boris Bogatkova had already become widely known among soldiers. So, once the poet, walking along one of the streets of Novosibirsk, became the witness of such case. Exercises were the soldiers, and then the commander ordered: “Boss”. And the answer came: “In the native TRANS-Ural plant/Hard to make the Nazis fear…”
It was lyrics the guards on the machine, the author of which was Bogatkov. The soldiers passed by, nobody knew the author of the work. However, for the writer this event was very joyful.
Like other poets-front-line soldiers, Boris wanted to be on the battlefield, not to sit in the rear. And in 1942, despite the strict prohibitions of physicians, the poet goes to the front in the Siberian volunteer division.
Before leaving, Boris writes a letter to a friend-fellow soldier that he was glad to finally return to the front. As well as saying goodbye to Tatiana Evgenievna, who with tears in his eyes accompanies his adopted son, assures her that nothing terrible could happen.
Boris gets Bogatkov on the Western front. His division is gradually coming to the outskirts of Smolensk. Here is the way Siberians blocked Gnezdikovsky height, well fortified by the Germans. It was one of the most important Nazi fortifications, as it covered the communications of the German army.
The assault Gnezdikovsky heights sent Polk Street. The poet was a Sergeant and commanded a detachment. A few soldiers tried to go to the assault, but the attack was bogged down under machine-gun fire of the enemy.
Then Bogatkov got up out of the trench and went on the attack, solo written song: “We came out of the factories, came from the fields of the collective farm…” For their commander, picked up the song, began to rise to his feet and the other soldiers. Despite the huge losses, Siberian division managed to break through the German fortifications.
Bogatkov was among the first who rushed into the trenches of the enemy, boiled the fight, and the poet was killed by machine-gun fire in the back. The battle ended with the capture Gnezdikovsky heights. The soldiers carried in the overcoat is the body of his commander and placed under a birch tree. Here one last time to say goodbye approached those who were lucky enough to survive the battle. So on 11 August 1943, killed the poet.
“Agenda” is probably the most famous poem of the writer, which is included in the school curriculum. The piece was written in 1941, at the beginning of the great Patriotic war. In it the poet describes the condition in which a person going to war, walking through the peaceful town. There is no sadness, no sorrow in the poem. It is full of joy and enthusiasm.
