Polosuhin Viktor Ivanovich is one of the heroes of the great Patriotic war. He commanded a division during the most fierce fighting near Moscow. The courage of the Colonel and his soldiers allowed to stop the advance of Nazi troops into the capital of the Soviet Union and to give the necessary time to prepare the defense. Before to give their lives, its fighters killed more than ten thousand occupants.

Biography

Polosuhin Victor Ivanovich was born on 28 Feb 1904 in Tomsk province. His parents were ordinary peasants. In addition to Victor, the family had six children. So the guy since childhood, worked hard in helping parents. In 1911 father suddenly dies. After that the children have to work alongside adults in order to survive. There was no money even for the funeral of a senior spent. Then the family was helped by one of the exiled revolutionaries - Vladimir Obnorsky. He gave the money to my mother and Victor. The young man never forgot.

Service

When we started the October revolution, he joined the Komsomol unit and shall be elected by the Chapter. At the age of 16 volunteers in the Red Army and bravely fought with the bandits. When the war started, Polosukhin Viktor Ivanovich was still in the far East. By this time he has held the rank of Colonel and commanded the 32nd division.
