How to make bagels?

Mix the flour and dry yeast in a bowl.

In another big container combine all remaining ingredients except flour and yeast. Add the flour gradually and mix with a mixer. When the dough will become very thick, put it on a work surface and knead by hand for 10-15 minutes, sprinkle with flour.

It should be very soft and slightly sticky. Place dough in a greased bowl. Cover with plastic film. Let stand about 1 hour until it doubles in volume.

Then divide the dough into 10 equal pieces. Roll the balls, then pull them to length and roll the ring. Try to fold the product so that the hole in the middle was at least 6 cm. Place the bagels on the baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Allow the products to rise for 1 hour, covering them with a towel.

Boil large quantities of water. Add a bit of baking soda and a little heat (water should remain on a slow fire). Dip bagels into the mixture one at a time. Boil them for one minute.
