The Concept of SWOT analysis more or less defined in the field of marketing and management. But the definition of "SNW-analysis" often causes some confusion. Let's try to understand these values and find out the main features of these components.
Analysis of the internal environment of the firm or enterprise is the aggregate of the company or organization that fully reflects its strong, weak or neutral side. In the field of marketing, the definition of "SNW-analysis" is somewhat similar to the definition of the SWOT analysis, but in the first there is still zero aspect of the study. SNW – it is common abbreviation, consists of three words of English origin (S – Forte, N – a neutral position and a W – mild).
As practice shows, SNW-analysis of the internal environment of the enterprise – a very efficient way to determine the competitiveness of the organization in which the role of a neutral position is best to select the average market condition for a particular situation. Thus is recorded the so-called zero point of the competition. How does this benefit the enterprise? First of all, it allows to reveal the strengths of the organization and to improve it, i.e. to position the company in a particular market.
A General analysis of the internal environment consists of the following aspects:
1. Marketing, in turn, consists of the following components: market share, competitiveness, range and quality of products (services), market conditions, sales, advertising and product positioning.
2. The analysis of the financial situation in your organization enables you to evaluate the effectiveness of strategic planning and to identify potential internal weak place in the organization and its position relative to its competitors.
3. In any organization, a significant role is given to the analysis of managerial operations.
4. As the saying goes, cadres decide everything. That is why the human resources, namely the skills of the staff, their attitude towards the goals, as well as the competence of employees and management in General, perform one of the most important roles in the effectiveness of the activities of an enterprise.
5. Corporate culture – it's an unconventional factor that nevertheless performs a significant role throughout the organization. You see, without a favorable climate in the team is difficult to establish a relationship between the employees and to ensure the effective implementation of the objectives. From the well-coordinated work of all structural units depends largely on the success of the organization.
As already mentioned, SNW-approach – a better analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the organization. This approach has the following objectives: to determine the strengths and engage their improvement and weaknesses to eliminate them altogether or make stronger. In addition, it is recommended to determine the so-called medium-term state which will allow us to determine a more complete picture of the organization. So, it is often that any particular firm in the competition is almost all, except one, key positions in state N, and only in one position – able S. Neutral position – this is the average condition of the organization at a certain period of time.

В итоге перед специалистами должна вырисоваться вполне ясная картина: при SNW-подходе все преимущества анализа остаются в силе, а SNW-анализ фиксирует четкую ситуацию на рынке. Таким образом, с помощью специальных программ можно произвести сопоставление полученных показателей со стратегией организации и определить дальнейшую направленность деятельности, то есть оптимизировать непосредственно сам процесс управления, сделав его еще более эффективным.
