Among the variety of soups that cook in the world, a considerable place is given and pea soup, which is popular because of its nutritional value. From all the other soups it features a special unique taste to them.

Pea soup can be cooked with whole and crushed peas, but unlike crushed peas, well boiled without soaking the whole before cooking should be soaked in water for several hours. In the winter season pea soup is brewed from dried peas.  Pea soup with smoked meat, the recipe of which is given in this article, refers to those pea dishes that is very appropriate to cook in the winter.

It contains all the necessary components, without which the functioning of the body is defective. But do not forget that some types of pea soup, such as pea soup with smoked meat, the recipe of which is given below, it is not recommended to use those who adhere to the concept of separation of power. Consider the following as examples of  the recipes of soups from peas.

Pea soup with smoked meat – the recipe is simple, but at the same time cooked him soup is distinguished by its favorable taste qualities.

To prepare you need:

  • 250 g. of crushed peas and enumerated;
  • 300 g smoked ribs;
  • 1 potato (medium size);
  • 1 carrot (small);
  • 1 small onion;
  • Salt and ground black pepper (to taste);
  • Chopped parsley (only for decoration of the finished dish)

First soak the peas and let it infuse for 3-4 hours, then drain the water. Spend the initial processing of vegetables and cut them into small cubes. Boil the broth, smoked ribs,  then strain it and bring to a boil. In the boiling broth, add the peas and again wait for the next boiling. Then salt and pepper to taste, and after that half-finished soup to cook for another 15-20 minutes on low heat. Next, lay out cut previously vegetables and continue to cook until tender, then bring the soup to puree state using a mixer or blender.

Pea soup with pork ribs

To prepare you need:

  • 250 g peas (can be taken as a whole, and crushed);
  • 450 g pork (not greasy!) ribs;
  • 1 clove of onion (large);
  • 3 small carrots;
  • 8 large potatoes;
  • Basil;
  • 2 small Bay leaves;
  • Salt and black (freshly ground) pepper to taste.

Before cooking peas soaked for some time, which will depend on the species you chose: if cooking you had selected a pea, it is desirable to soak longer, but if crushed, it is sufficient to just 2-3 hours.

Pork ribs must be filled with water and put on fire. When the meat has boiled, remove and rinse, and then put in a pot and Bay clean cool water, boil until fully cooked. Once you understand that the broth is ready, place in a pot with him in the Bay leaves, and then strain it through a sieve, after taking out a boiled ribs.

In clear broth ready to fall asleep already soaked peas and bring to a boil. In the boiling broth put peeled and cut into small cubes the potatoes. In the process of cooking do not forget to remove from the surface of the broth foam. When the potato is cooked, add in soup peeled, sliced and fried onions and carrots and cook for a bit, subtract the heat to low.

When  the soup is ready, place in a pan of pork ribs, salt, pepper, and adding spices can bring to the table.
