Gestalt – what is it? This question is raised by many modern people, however not everyone is able to find the correct answer. The word "Gestalt" is of German origin. For a better understanding we can consider several examples. So, the person who wants to buy a house, saving money to buy it, find a suitable option and becomes the owner of your own home. And one who wishes to have a child, directs all its power to achieve that goal. After the desired achieved (need satisfied), the Gestalt is completed and destroyed.

The Concept of incomplete Gestalt

However, reaches its completion (and further – destruction) not every Gestalt. That's what happens to some people and why they always form the same type of unfinished situations? This is a question for many years interested professionals in the field of psychology and psychiatry. This phenomenon is called incomplete Gestalt.

Awareness

Another basic concept of Gestalt therapy is awareness. It should be noted that the intelligent man's knowledge of his external and internal world do not have any relation to it. Awareness of Gestalt psychology connects with the presence in the so-called as ‘here and now”. It is characterized by the fact that people commit all actions guided by consciousness and being vigilant, and not live a mechanical life, relying solely on stimuline-reactive mechanism, as is characteristic of the animal.
