Giros – is pita, which is filled with meat cooked on a vertical spit. To create this dish can be used as beef and chicken. Although nowadays you can see and vegetarian gyros recipe it will be considered in our article. But let's start with the meat option.
Ingredients needed:
• two tablespoons of olive oil;
• ¼ Cup of lemon juice;
• three medium cloves of garlic;
• tablespoon red wine vinegar;
• salt;
• three chicken Breasts (approximately 650 grams);
• teaspoon sugar;
• pepper (ground);
• 2 tablespoons tablespoons yogurt, normal;
• 0.5 Cup feta cheese;
• red onion (half);
• tomato and red bell pepper;
• half of a cucumber;
• 5 pieces Pete.
To prepare the sauce you will need:
• cucumber;
• 200 ml Greek yogurt;
• clove of garlic;

• half tablespoon of fresh dill and white wine vinegar;
• 0,25 teaspoon freshly ground pepper;
• tablespoon lemon (freshly squeezed) juice.
Gyros: the recipe
1. In a bowl, whisk together oil, salt, lemon juice, pepper, vinegar, garlic (crushed) and sugar. In a separate container, pour three tablespoons of the resulting marinade. Add in the remaining yoghurt, 1 tsp of salt. Put in the marinade the chicken, cover with plastic film. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
2. Preheat grill.
3. Make a sauce. Grate the cucumber, place in a bowl, add salt. Set aside for 15 minutes, strain, remove the liquid.
4. Then mix the cucumber with yogurt, lemon juice, vinegar, dill, black pepper, garlic (crushed).
5. Finely chop bell pepper, onion, tomatoes, cucumber. Crumble cheese.
6. In a bowl, add 2 tbsp of the reserved marinade and the chopped onion. Then add the vegetables, cheese.
7. From the marinade, remove the chicken, fry on the grill, brown for five minutes. Flip meat over and fry the other side for 4 minutes.
8. In a bowl put the chicken legs.
9. Grilled pita fry about twenty seconds on each side.
